Selena Gomez may not be able to have children !!

American artist Selena Gomez revealed that she may never be able to get pregnant and have children due to the medications she takes to control her bipolar disorder.

The 30-year-old singer and actress spoke about her experience with bipolar disorder, after being diagnosed for the first time in 2018. She explained how she tried to make friends with bipolar disorder, despite the impact on her hopes of one day becoming a mother, according to the Independent newspaper.

The star recalled how she cried in her car because the medications she takes for bipolar disorder make it unlikely she will be able to have children.

She said: “This is a big thing in my life... but if I am destined to give birth, I will do it.”

According to the Indian Journal of Psychiatry, medications for bipolar disorder during pregnancy can cause birth defects and long-term behavioral and neurological problems.

Women with bipolar disorder are also at risk for increased symptoms and episodes of the disorder during pregnancy, so doctors face a difficult decision about whether or not women with bipolar disorder should take certain medications during pregnancy.

Selena Gomez talked about a medical condition she suffered in 2018, when she started hearing loud noises. She then spent several months in a treatment facility, although she “can only remember snippets” of that phase.

After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the star took a slew of medications, which she said made her feel like she "disappeared." “There's no part of me anymore,” Gomez explained.

Eventually, she ended up finding a psychiatrist who realized she was taking too many medications and took them off all but two. “He really guided me...but I had to detox, basically, from the medications I was taking,” she said. I had to learn how to remember certain words. I was forgetting where I was when we were talking. "It took a lot of hard work to accept that I had this disorder, but I learned how to deal with it, because it wouldn't go away."

Selena Gomez revealed her diagnosis with the disorder in 2020.

Bipolar disorder, which was previously called “manic depression,” is a serious mental health condition in which the sufferer suffers from significant mood swings, with bouts of hyperactivity and depression.

American artist Selena Gomez hinted that her next album might be her last, due to her desire to focus on her acting career, after gaining fame as a star on the Disney Channel, before launching into the world of pop singing and releasing songs that achieved tremendous success, including “Hands to My Self.” , “Rare,” and “Bad Layer.” In 2020, Gomez launched a cooking show called “Selena and the Chef,” and the following year she received rave reviews for her role in the mystery comedy series “The Only Killers in the Building,” produced by the Hulu network, with Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Gomez (31 years old) explained during her appearance in the last episode of the “Smart Less” podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, that she wants to settle on one thing to move forward. The British newspaper “The Independent” quoted her as saying, based on the “E” news report: “I began to enjoy music a lot, and the tour was really wonderful, but I was presenting the comedy series (The Magicians of Waverly Place) at the same time, and I found in that enthusiasm that allowed me to continue working.” ». But a pang remained deep within her. As she grew older, she realized that she wanted to “find something to settle down on.” She said: “I feel like I have another album in me, but I will probably choose acting.” When the podcast hosts praised her musical talents and saw that she did not have to choose, she replied: “You are right, but I want to calm down because I am tired.”

In the interview, which will be released on January 7, she also discussed the impact of hustling on her mental health after enduring heavy workloads from an early age. In 2016, Gomez canceled her concert tour due to ongoing difficulties with her mental health. She said: “I suffered because I love my work, and it distracts me from bad things.” The star, who was nominated for an Emmy Award, also revealed that the coincidence shaped her artistic career. After she recorded the credits for the series “The Witches of Waverly Place,” her manager at Disney asked if she was interested in recording an album. She replied: “I don’t think I am the best singer, but I know how to tell stories, and I would love to be able to perform songs.”

Gomez, who is currently dating fellow musician and producer Benny Blanco, is behind the “Rare Beauty” cosmetics line, which she launched during the “Corona” pandemic. In July 2020, she announced the launch of the Rare Impact Fund, which pledged to raise $100 million over the next ten years to help address mental health service gaps for underserved communities.
